Partial dentures - complete prosthetic replacement for partly or completely toothless jaw – advanced
The course is suitable for dental technicians who would like to widen their services and include prosthetic dentures, as a primary prosthetic replacement for partly or completely toothless jaw. Each participant will learn the whole process of producing partial dentures, by producing one upper and one lower partial prosthesis. It is desirable for the participant to have basic knowledge of removable prosthetics.

Course summary:
- theoretical part about metal bases, advanced planning depending on different indications, statics and biomechanics
- articulating of working model and production of wax template (only demonstrator)
- metal base planning, small and big connectors, different clasps also modified (use of Ney instruments)
- adaptation of pulling forces, statics and aesthetics with various modifications of small connectors, large connectors and clasps
- duplicating
- making working model, wax profiles, modelation of base
- investing, casting, sandblasting
- repositioning of the teeth with the use of silicon key and modelation of gingiva in wax
- finishing with acrylics, polishing
- practical planning of different metal bases on models and picture templates
