Attachments as an aesthetic-functional solution to everyday practice - combined work basic course 19.09.22 - 22.09.22

The course is suitable for dental technicians who would like to learn about the basics of milling techniques, proper handling with different kinds of attachments, as well as about proper use of all the materials used in the entire process of combined work. The course will present a quick, orderly and easy manufacturing process of economically acceptable combined work. All participants must have a basic knowledge of fixed prostheses and partial dentures.

Course summary:

• theoretical part: planning, static and biomechanics
• different kinds of attachments, their function and indications
• articulating of the working model and production of bite template (only demonstrator)
• preliminary set up of teeth and production of silicon key for transfer
• modulation of primary, fixed elements in wax, determining the direction of insertion and setting up patrica
• milling in wax and preparation of silicone key
• wax reduction with a help of a silicone key, investing
• preparation of milled construction, VITA ceramic
• transfer of primary crowns on milling table and milling of primary parts
• duplicating in silicone, production of a working model, modulation of the metal base
• casting, sandblasting, grinding and polishing of metal base
• repositioning of preliminary set up teeth on metal base with a help of silicone key
• finishing in acrylic, inserting friction matrix and checking the occlusion
